Biotechnology is a field that combines biology, technology, and engineering to develop products and solve problems in areas like medicine, agriculture, and environmental science. It involves using living organisms, cells, or biological systems to create new technologies.

The Department of Biotechnology focuses on introducing the fascinating science behind gene editing, medical breakthroughs, and genetic research.

Genetics is the study of how traits are passed from parents to offspring through genes.

The Genetics Department will focus on the process that takes place in our cells that results in traits being passed down, as well as learning about the parts of cells that are associated with this process. More than just covering the basics, we will also explore some career options, fun facts, how you can get involved in the field, technological advancements, real-world applications, and much more.

"She Inspires" celebrates women’s passion, resilience, and groundbreaking contributions, both past and present. By sharing their stories, we highlight how women’s hard work continues to shape our world through innovation and discovery.

Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops, its structure and functions. Common research streams include behavioural neuroscience, computational neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience.

The Department of Neuroscience aims to organize and provide resources related to neuroscience, remind people to care about their brain health, share brain fun facts, and inspire young women on their neuroscience path.

Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. It involves different fields including cognition, relationships, emotion, perception, attention and motivation. Psychology often works with other subjects such as social studies, physiology, neuroscience, biology, and statistics.

The Department of Psychology is dedicated to studying human behaviour, thoughts, and emotions scientifically. We share related knowledge and provide opportunities for that.

Mathematics is the study of numbers, patterns, and structures. It builds problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking.

The Department of Mathematics aims to spark girls’ interest in math and show that it can be fun. We’ll share trivia questions with explanations, engaging math challenges, controversial questions, essential concepts to build a strong foundation, and even an introduction to calculus.
